Yes, Virginia, there was a Santa Claus, Arizona!
Alas! how dreary would be the world if there had been no Santa Claus, Arizona! It was in the late 30s when Nina Talbot created a Christmas village for all to enjoy 365 days a year. But her delightful settlement was doomed from the very beginning because of an insurmountable problem — no water. This presentation not only tells the magical story of Santa Claus, Arizona, it also takes the audience to the copper boomtown called Christmas that lived up to its name by not allowing saloons, gambling halls and brothels in the city limits. We’ll also visit the historic community of Snowflake that was the site of a mysterious alien abduction! We’ll marvel at a huge Christmas tree made entirely of tumbleweeds; and then we’ll board an antique train for a nostalgic and exciting journey to the North Pole! This outstanding holiday presentation is filled with wonder and surprise! Presentation time: 1 hour (Slide Presentation)
