Here it is…November!  Only 24 days till Thanksgiving, and only 7 weeks till Christmas…WOW!  Things have been busy here at McGavin Ranch, the 55+ active community in Mesa, AZ.  Quite a few people have returned to the Ranch, and we also have new people moving into their new homes!

We will be having a Neighborhood Watch meeting on Saturday, November 9 at 9am in the clubhouse.  This is a chance for people learn the purpose of the Neighborhood Watch, and learn of any concerns current, or past that are happening in the community.

Next Monday is Veterans Day.  We will be having a demonstration of a retired police K-9, if he is feeling up to it.  Sounds like an interesting time.  K-9 Jet and his partner Lorne live here in the community during the winter.  They are both retired from police work in Canada.

There was a wonderful event this past Saturday when our residents, Barb & Tony hosted a pizza party for the community!  It was done to give the Activities Committee a break, and to get the residents together to become friendly with others.  There was a huge turnout, with a lot of laughter and interaction.  Great idea Barb and Tony, and thank you so much!

We also had a great Halloween Scavenger Hunt, Parade, and dinner on Thursday!
