Wow!  Sunday is September!  Things are starting to change…I’ve seen more vehicles with out of state plates, more motorhomes, and RVs on the streets!  People are returning to balmy, sunny Mesa!  We’ll get to see out old friends, and make new ones!

At the 55+ Active Community of McGavin Ranch, we have an Ice Cream Social on Wednesday, August 28 at 6pm.  You can come to the clubhouse and make a sundae, or have a root beer float, served by the Putt-Putt Group!  What a way to cool yourself off, as I see its still in the 100s this week!

And, to offset the ice cream, hit the Water Fitness Class earlier in the day at 1:30 on Wednesday to counteract the ice cream!  Remember, if you have Silver Sneakers with your Medicare package, the classes are free, and if not, they are practically free!

Bible Study doesn’t get too much of a mention, but it is on Thursdays every week at 1:00 in the clubhouse.  Feel free to come join!

I reminded everyone last week of Bunco on Wednesday, so I would remember also…I forgot!  I’ll try again next month!

Monday is Labor Day.  It is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.  We will be having a Potluck in the Clubhouse to celebrate this occassion.  There is a signup in the communications room, so check to see what is already being provided, and join the fun!
