Ranch News. September 9, 2019

Hello, and happy new week to you all!  Actually sat on the patio this morning, enjoying the not so hot weather!

The Labor Day potluck was last week, with a very good turnout!  The Activity Committee at the 55+ Active Community of McGavin Ranch provided the fried chicken, and other dishes were provided by residents.

WII Bowling is a huge sporting activity here at McGavin Ranch.  At the finals of last season, there was probably 60 people participating!  The sign up for this upcoming season ends September 28, so if you already live at the Ranch, get into the Communication Room to sign up.  If you don’t already live at the Ranch, check out our Homes for Sale, purchase a new home, become our neighbor here at the Ranch, and sign up for WII Bowling!

Next Tuesday, September 17, Bill Harrison comes to the Ranch to tell us about the Copper Queen Hotel.  This is the story of a gorgeous grand hotel, its ghosts, and the often chaotic history of Bisbee.  He will also tell us of the danger of copper mining and the perils of Brewery Gulch, which is a long, narrow street offering whiskey, women, and vice!  Sounds like quite the town!  Sounds like a good story to hear, then take a trip down to Bisbee and visit the ghosts!

Lastly, if you are looking for a home for your retirement years that is in a “neighborhood”, rather than a “park”, come visit us at the 55+ Active Community of McGavin Ranch.  Once you enter the gates, you will realize it is a neighborhood, and the place you want to spend your retirement.  It is a small community, with only 179 homes, and about 250 people.  There are activities to do, or it’s a place to sit on your front porch and watch the world go by.  It looks and feels like it’s own little world, with trees, fences for your pets, a great swimming pool, and other amenities to enjoy.  And, the people are friendly and welcoming! Give us a call at 480-294-3100 to come visit!  Hope to see you soon!
