WOW – What a night at the McGavin Ranch 55+ Resort Adult Community WII Bowling finals!  The active clubhouse was packed, the participants were tense, the crowd noise was exhilarating, and it came down to two teams. Sandy was bowling 7 strikes in a row in the semi-finals…the pins were flying! Jeanette was right behind her, bowling a great game. Joel and Melba were steady all night long. Then the final game. Joel and Melba continue their steady game, Sandy’s kick and stomp at the end of the throw was not working…and in the end, Joel and Melba were the big winners, with Sandy and Jeanette runners up. There was also a prize for worst games, and lowest scores, and a huge thank you to the helpers setting things up and making sure all was running smoothly.  All the folks at the McGavin Ranch 55+ Community WII Bowling tournament enjoyed cake, laughs, and  comradery.

Earlier in in the day on Wednesday, the guys at the McGavin Ranch 55+ Community we’re having a great game of darts.  They play 6 days a week. They appeared to be having a good time, but you know guys are sometimes very quiet!

Wednesday day was also a day for Mexican Train. It looked really interesting…there are actually trains!  I’ll have to join in soon and figure this out!

Coming up up this week at the 55+ Community of McGavin Ranch are the usual activities like Mexican Train, Putt-Putt Golf (I’ll be getting some pictures of that event), and Strength and Balance Class. On Friday there is Lite Bites and Bingo, starting at 5pm, with Bingo at 6:00.  Saturday, as every first Saturday of the month is the Coffee with the Community. It’s a chance for the residents at this active community to learn about new, and old happenings at the Ranch, bring up concerns that need to be addressed, have some coffee and donuts, and maybe meet some new neighbors!
